The Bard Prison Initiative

The Bard Prison Initiative offers courses to inmate students at a long-term, maximum-security prison and a transitional medium-security prison, using "a rigorous and diverse liberal arts curriculum." About 100 inmates are currently enrolled, and the program is set to open another program at a women's prison in New York City.
